Obituary

Kenneth F. “Doc” Clark died on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the age of 81, in the company of family and friends. He leaves behind his niece, Alexandria, and his nephews James Amorello and Ethan Amorello, to whom he was particularly devoted. He was predeceased by his sisters, Linda Burke and Nancy Clark, and his brother and business partner, James G. Clark.

Doc was born in Worcester and lived most of his life here. He was a gifted athlete and was particularly proud of his role as quarterback of the Providence Street Raiders during the late 1950s. Following completion of the ninth grade, Doc concluded that formal education no longer held an attraction for him, interfering as it did with his larger ambitions. He served in the United States Navy from 1963 through 1967. A good portion of his time in the Navy was spent touring bases throughout the Pacific, playing basketball in service-related tournaments.

After leaving the Navy, Doc gained employment as a radio engineer at several broadcast stations throughout the Commonwealth, including WNEB, WAAB, and WBZ. In addition to his engineering duties, Doc also performed duties as an announcer and disk jockey.

Doc was a golfer of rare skill, consistently sharpening his game at Wachusett Country Club. When not golfing, Doc busied himself figuring the contingencies of various mathematical probabilities. He traveled with his brother Jim and their entourage to places far and wide including Cape Cod, Hampton Beach, Aruba, Turks and Caicos, Cancun, Florida and Jamaica, the latter of which they found themselves ejected from by spoilsport authorities due to what Doc later described as “mere hijinks”.

Doc had a magnificent personality. His booming voice echoed throughout Central Massachusetts hailing friends, telling jokes and ordering another round of drinks. He was known for his vast generosity and loyalty to his many friends. He was always ready for the next good time. He sang like Sinatra and danced like Travolta. His presence brought life to any gathering.

Burial services will be private. Alfred Roy & Sons - Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. is honored to be assisting the family. To share a memory or to sign his guestbook, please visit www.MarchandMemorialHomes.com
