HANCOCK- Daniel Albert Morse, Jr., of Hancock, born Feb. 17, 1990, to Daniel and Laurie Morse, passed peacefully on Oct. 27, 2026, after a brief illness.
Dan is survived by his parents, his brother Joshua, sister-in-law Allison, two nieces Eleanor and Margaret, paternal grandparents Bud and Gloria, great-grandmother Christine, aunts and uncles Richard Sprague, Jr. and Denise, Melissa and Adrien Jean, Susan Kocincki and Thomas, Shawn and Tiffany Sprague, Jennifer and Wandi Perez, Tanya Morse, and Dennis and Tammy Carmichael, numerous cousins, and his best friend Dillon Young. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Richard and Marjorie Sprague.
Dan was loved and supported by many and developed special relationships with those around him through his love of hunting, target shooting and media.
Dan was an acquired taste, but one you couldn't get enough of once you had it. Often a serious man, he was known to cause his own set of mischief, particularly with his cousin Anthony, brother Joshua, and friend Dillon.
While Dan had no desire for kids of his own, he loved dearly his nieces and younger cousins. He introduced them to many of his passions, whether age-appropriate or not. In turn, he was loved by the "littles" in his life.
His family will miss him dearly and will forever keep a spot for him at the Thanksgiving table.
A celebration of life will be held Nov. 7th, at 3 p.m., at Crossroads Church at 27 Church Ln. in Hancock. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service, Buxton, www.mainefuneral.com
