BELMONT ---- Shirley Patricia DeMontigny, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 shortly after being hospitalized for a stroke. She went peacefully.
She was born in 1937 to the late Keith and Geraldine (Bedore) Mengel.
Shirley was the mother of three daughters, Katherine (and husband John), Roberta (and husband Peter) and Mary Lynn (and her husband Marc). She had six grandchildren, Ethan, Megan, Laura, Kyle, Benjamin and Casey, and two great-grandchildren, Jacqueline and Rafael. She also leaves a sister, Jo-Ann, and a brother, George.
Shirley enjoyed a lifetime of travel, and expanding her knowledge of history, geography, literature and general info that made her a fierce opponent in any trivia challenge.
She will be missed by family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held in Otis, Massachusetts in early spring 2027.
