Patricia Walker Busch, 89, of Brewster, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 20 in Rochester, New York, Patricia lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, family, curiosity, and a lifelong passion for learning. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her compassion, wisdom, warmth, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
Patricia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She especially cherished family gatherings, where heartfelt traditions, laughter, and love brought generations together. Her many interests included history, crafting, travel, gardening, cooking, and all things related to making a house a home.
In 1981, Patricia and her husband, William, moved from Livonia, New York to their beloved Cape Cod, which they affectionately called “The Cape.” They quickly embraced the Cape's unique way of life, becoming deeply connected to its people, history, and culture. It was a place where Patricia's interests and talents flourished, and where she built lasting friendships and cherished memories.
Throughout her career, Patricia held a variety of positions, many of which reflected her creativity and love of history. Most recently, she owned and operated her own estate sale business, Bittersweet Estate Sales. An accomplished businesswoman with a keen eye for unique treasures, Patricia found great joy not only in her work but also in the meaningful connections she made along the way. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in others transformed many lifelong customers into cherished friends.
Patricia also devoted more than 15 years to serving on the board of the Brewster Historical Society, sharing her appreciation for history and her commitment to preserving the heritage of the community she had come to love.
Above all, Patricia will be remembered for her deep love of family and friends and her zest for life. Her wisdom, kindness, creativity, and quiet strength enriched the lives of those around her, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, William; her brother, Michael Walker (Andrea); her daughters, Valerie Fallon (Christopher), Andrea Barnhoorn (Daniel), and Marla Garand (Chad); her grandchildren, Cassandra Dyer (Daniel), Kate Fallon, Christopher Barnhoorn, Kiersten Fallon, and Cole Garand; and her great-grandson, Caeden Dyer. She was predeceased by her parents, Frances and Burton Walker, and her sister, Judith Walker Sheehan.
A memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will be announced at a later date.
Patricia leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, wisdom, family traditions, and treasured memories. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable life.
