O’Connor, Ellen Teresa (Daly), Age 78, of Roslindale, formerly of Westwood, passed away on October 24, 2026. Born in Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland, she was the youngest of ten children of the late Micheál and Nora Daly. Teresa came to the United States in 1965 at the age of 16. She raised her children in Westwood and later moved to Roslindale. She was an active member of the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury and loved dancing and Irish music.
Teresa was the loving mother of David O’Connor and his wife Rose of Roslindale, Linda Curley and her husband Kevin of Merrimack, NH, and Michelle Ryan and her husband Alan of South Yarmouth. She was predeceased by her daughter Maureen Teresa O’Connor. She was the cherished grandmother to Ronan, Audrey and Mary O’Connor; Brendan, Nora and Molly Curley; Niamh, Hannah, Aidan and Aoife Ryan.
She was the dear sister of Noel Daly and his wife Elizabeth of West Roxbury and Carmel Collins and her husband Vincent of Westwood. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Finn (Paddy), Nora Goonan (Tom), Gerald Daly, Joseph Daly, Micheál Daly (Joan), Frank Daly (Noreen) and Patrick Daly. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews in the United States, Ireland, England and Australia and by her former husband, Christy O’Connor of Westwood.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Saturday, October 31st at 9:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa of Avila Parish, 2078 Centre St., West Roxbury at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours, Friday, October 30th from 4:00-8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to March of Dimes.
