Obituary

Dean A. Banister, 61, of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, Dean was the son of the late Francis and Donna (Quinn) Banister.

Dean was a hardworking, determined man who was known for his stubborn nature, straightforward honesty, and strong sense of responsibility. He worked for Concord Coach for 25 years, showing up every day with the same commitment to doing the job right. He was proud of the work he did and the people he met along the way. He believed in keeping your word, doing what you said you were going to do, and never quitting when things got difficult. These were values he lived by and worked to instill in his family.

Dean had a passion for life's toys, especially boats, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and Corvettes. He always seemed to have his eye on something new. Just when everyone had gotten used to his latest purchase, he would be ready to sell it and move on to the next. It was simply part of who he was, and something his family and friends will always remember about him.

Dean enjoyed travelling and taking many cruises around the world.

Above all, Dean was a husband, father, and grandfather who took pride in his family. Although he wasn't always one to sugarcoat his words, those closest to him knew how much he cared. His strength, determination, and the lessons he passed along will continue to live on through those who loved him.

Dean is survived by his loving wife, Amy (Gardner) Banister; his two sons, Chad Banister and Robert E. Banister his wife, Yurika; his three brothers, James Banister, Wayne Banister, and Francis Banister Jr.; his sister, Christine Pacheco her husband, James; along with 3 grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, New Hampshire. A memorial service will be held at 6:40 p.m.
