Beers Jr., Frank L. a lifelong resident of Dedham, passed away on October 23, 2026 at the age of 76.
Frank was born in Dedham to Dorothy (McSeveny) Beers and Frank L. Beers Sr. He was a graduate of Dedham High School Class of 1967.
Frank served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany. He was a proud member of the Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, Local 6. Frank worked for 47 years at his craft and was proud to be a member of the union for more than 56 years.
Frank was the beloved husband of Rita (Donovan) Beers, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Frank leaves his three children: Frank L. Beers III and his wife, Renay, of Dedham; Jacqueline Ward and her husband, Joshua, of Walpole; and Keith Beers and his wife, Amelia, of Wenham. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Ella, Cassandra, Kylie, and Amira Beers of Dedham; Isla, Annabelle, and Teddy Ward of Walpole; and Genevieve and Augustus Beers of Wenham.
Frank enjoyed the outdoors, camping with his family, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He often fondly recalled childhood adventures with his family in Beersville, Canada. He was a gifted builder and a true fix-it man. He built our family home with his own hands and could fix anything. A man of great integrity, Frank will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham on Wednesday, October 28 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 29 at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
