Rudolph Talmadge Cooley, 79, of Rebecca, Georgia, died, Thursday, October 22, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Waterloo Baptist Church in Chula, Georgia with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour in the church sanctuary.
Mr. Cooley was born April 25, 1947, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Dolyphus D. & Betty Jean Whitley Cooley. He graduated from Houston County High School and served our country honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Cooley enjoyed building and woodworking. He loved his family, children and grandchildren. Mr. Cooley was a God-fearing man and was faithful to his church. He was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Louise Cooley; a daughter, Tina Louise Cooley of Tennessee; step children: Laura McGrew (Kevin) of Warner Robins, Jackie Scarboro (Marvin) of Byron, Tracy Adams of Salem, South Carolina, and Steven Upshaw (Mandy) of Warner Robins; as well as several more step children; grandchildren: Aaron Cooley and Taylor Cooley; 13 step grandchildren; as well as several more step grandchildren; brothers: Wayne Cooley of Fitzgerald and Ricky Cooley (Shelby) of Warner Robins and an aunt, Bernice Helms of Rochelle.
