Obituary

Anthony Paul Martell, known to all as Paul, age 63, of Nashua, NH, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, with his family by his side, after a lengthy battle with esophageal cancer. He was the beloved husband of Albertina (Fernandes) Martell, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.

Born in Boston on August 9, 1963, Paul was the son of the late Louis A. Martell and the late Mary Rose (Breen) Martell. He grew up in Dorchester, and at the age of eight he moved with his father to Nevada, where he lived for a few years before returning to Massachusetts. He settled in Lowell with his sister and graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School. For the past 20 years, Paul made his home in Nashua.

Paul was a hard worker all his life. After high school, he went to work in construction and later at Papa Gino’s before he began driving taxi cabs, and that work grew into something much bigger. For about ten years he owned and operated A&M Taxi, and over 30 years ago he founded NCS, Nashua Concierge Service, a delivery company he built and ran for the rest of his life. Paul simply didn’t know how not to work, and he was a true jack of all trades who could figure out just about anything.

Paul’s home sat right on the river, and he loved nothing more than fishing there. He also loved heading out deep sea fishing with his family. He and Albertina enjoyed their trips to the casino together, and he loved a little gambling. He was a devoted football fan and always enjoyed a good beer. Above all, Paul had the biggest heart. Christmas was his favorite time of year, and he took great joy in giving gifts to his family.

In addition to his wife, Albertina, Paul is survived by his children, Anita Cielakie and her husband Bob of Lowell, Kelly Miskimins of Lowell, Ana Russell and her fiancé William Lepene of Lowell, Joe Agrela and his girlfriend Jessica Hodgedon of Nashua, and Luis Agrela of Lowell; his grandchildren, Gabby Park and her husband Alex, Lukas Gannon, Ally Cielakie, Jacob Russell, Bobby Cielakie, Hailey Russell, Keira Gannon, Luis Agrela, Jr., and Cassie Agrela; his great-grandson, Theo Park; and his sister, Kathleen Martell of Harwich, MA. He was predeceased by his brothers, Louis R. Martell and Michael J. Martell, his sister-in-law, Paula Routier, and son-in-law Dan Gannon.
