Obituary

Cynthia C. (Callaham) Christoforides, 81, of Andover, died on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Bridges Home in Andover.

Born in El Paso, Texas, Cynthia was the daughter of the late Claude and Betsy Jane (Jones) Callaham. She graduated from Skidmore College and earned a degree from Harvard University.

Cynthia was brilliant, curious, and never one to follow a conventional path. A true entrepreneur, she started businesses as varied as jazz production and the making of yacht bells. For many years she and her partner, Hans Meijer, ran art workshops in France, Ireland, and other beautiful places, bringing people together to enjoy the world in new ways.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who put great attention into creating a warm, loving home for her family. Cynthia was a deeply caring person who meant a great deal to many people, and she kept her positive spirit even as she lived with memory loss in her final years.

She is survived by her children, Jason Miller of Lexington, Claudine Cohick and her husband Evan of Pennsylvania, and Chris Christoforides and his wife Bridget of Florida; her grandchildren, Owen, Jack, Fred, and Luke; her sister, Betsy Jane Honig and her husband Richard of West Stockbridge, Massachusetts; and her cousin, Brad Pierce of Gloucester.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover. For more information, please visit www.burkemagliozzi.com (http://www.burkemagliozzi.com/).
