Carl Rex Jones

Carl Rex Jones, 94, passed away at Community Hospital in Anderson, on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
He was born on January 1, 1932 in Anderson, the son of Rex C. Jones and Dorothy (Shepherd) Jones Moore. Carl was a graduate of Anderson High School class of 1950, served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War, and was employed by Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. He enjoyed farming and his cattle, and was involved for many years with 4 H. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and had attended Madison Park Church of God.
He is survived by his children Jayne Ewing and Michael (Holly) Jones; grandchildren Kaitlyn Ewing, Brenden Ewing, Ethan Ewing, Jonathan Jones and Jackson Jones; a sister, Phyllis Nowacek.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Sarah and second wife, Sue.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Noon at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Dr. Steven Moore Sr. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the funeral on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
