Thomas Lavorati, Jr., 90, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at his residence with his loving wife by his side. Born on June 25, 1936, in Chelsea, MA, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas, Sr., and Stella (Rovinski) Lavorati. He met his wife, Lorraine, on their first day of high school, and the two became sweethearts. They married four years after graduation and shared 67 years together.
Thomas worked as a supervisor at Premier Box Co. before retiring. He was also a proud 33-year veteran of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He enjoyed traveling with Lorraine, especially tropical cruises and Disney vacations. A fan of classic Disney films, Thomas had a fondness for Grumpy, whose likeness could be found around his home, a small reflection of his own gruff personality.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine (LeBlanc) Lavorati; his son, Thomas Lavorati III; his grandchildren, Kelly Gleason, Ryan Lavorati, Henry Parady, and Laura Parady; and his son-in-law, Charles Parady, and his partner, Teri. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jean Parady.
Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held for the family at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Elliot Hospital VNA, 1070 Holt Avenue Suite 1400 Manchester, NH 03109.
