Dylan Charles O’Brien, age 18, of Franklin, Massachusetts, was ushered home to heaven with The LORD on Thursday, October 8, 2026, following a fatal motorcycle accident.
Dylan was a young man who lived to love on and serve others; he loved fiercely and was a light to everyone’s life he touched. His devotion to God, his family, his longtime girlfriend, and his countless friends was the cornerstone of his life. He possessed a unique, black-and-white view of the world that served as his unwavering moral compass, guiding his choices and actions every single day with integrity and purpose. This, balanced with his playful, a bit mischievous and adventurous personality made him the amazing young man we will all miss so very much.
He is survived by his devoted father, Sean O'Brien of Norfolk; his loving mother, Kathie O’Brien of Franklin; his brother he always looked up to, Tyler O’Brien of West Lafayette, IN; his girlfriend, Josie Warner of Franklin; and a large, loving network of extended family and friends who will miss his unwavering loyalty and fun-loving spirit.
He also leaves behind many un-repaired lawnmowers and snowblowers, golf rounds left unplayed and fishing holes left un-fished.
We are sure he has already started his business in heaven while simultaneously working out and eating steaks all while in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Medway Community Church on Saturday, October 17 at 10:00a.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Medway.
Calling hours will be on Friday, October 16 from 4-8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
