Angelo L. Piso of Wakefield passed away on October 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old. Angelo was raised in Somerville, son of the late Angelo E. Piso and Mary T. (Pio) Piso.
He led a simple life that brought him happiness, centered around family and hard work. He was married for over 60 years to his beloved wife Janet M. (Cassetta). Angelo is survived by his daughter Karen Piso Nadeau and her husband Peter of Reading, daughter Susan Ellis and her husband Chris of Stoneham and his son Angelo J. Piso and his wife Shannon of Stoneham. Angelo was a loving grandfather to Brian and Jenna Nadeau, Kayley and Christopher Ellis, and Gabriella and Natalia Piso.
Angelo was well known and respected in the Boston Jewelry Business. He began working at the age of 14 when he discovered his passion for jewelry. He continued to work right up until the time of his passing, for close to 70 years, at both the Jewelers Building in Boston and as owner of Main Street Jewelers in South Medford. Fondly known as Papa Piso to his 6 grandchildren, he loved them all and it was pure joy watching him with them at family events.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, October 16th from 9 – 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
