Margaret P. Burke, of Stoughton died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2026. She was 47 years old.
Margaret was born in Boston on March 21, 1979, to the late Thomas and Karen (Groux) Burke. Margaret was raised and educated in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1997. After high school Margaret attended Burdette Business School and graduated in 1999. Her first job after graduating was for the Sisters of Jesus Crucified in Brockton. Margaret loved her job and really enjoyed working with the Sisters as they did her. Eventually she wanted to move on with her career and went to work for State Street Bank, Burns and Levinson Law Office and Brown Brother Harriman.
Margaret was the beloved mother of the late Thomas “Tommy” Connolly and Siobhan Connolly of West Roxbury and their father Margaret’s longtime partner Timothy Connolly of Abington. Survived by her mother Karen (McCarthy) Burke of West Roxbury, and her brothers Michael Burke of Norwood, Thomas Burke and his wife Stacy, of Fleming Island, FL, and Stephen Burke and his wife Sophia of West Roxbury. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relative and friends are respectfully invited to join family during visiting hours on Friday October 16, 2026 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, in the William J Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St, West Roxbury. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre St. West Roxbury at 11:30. Interment Private.
