LACONIA --- Mitchell “Mitch” Paine, 69, of Laconia, New Hampshire passed away at his home on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Mitch was born on March 7, 1957, in Laconia, New Hampshire, where he remained for most of his life. In 1977, he met the love of his life, Annette (Isabelle) Paine, while working for Coca-Cola and stocking shelves at her father’s store. They married in 1979 and together raised two children, as well as numerous beloved dogs. Mitch spent most of his career working in sales for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and New Hampshire Distributors (Anheuser-Busch).
Mitch was a hardworking, loyal, and generous man. He had a great sense of humor and the unique ability to make people laugh, even while he was teasing them. Mitch was especially proud of the family he and Annette built together. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, whether visiting in person or connecting through video calls. While he never had daughters of his own, he was blessed with three beautiful granddaughters whom he adored more than anything.
Mitch spent his retirement doing what he loved most: spending time with family, caring for his pool and lawn, tinkering in his garage, watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, cuddling with his dogs, and enjoying lunch dates with his wife.
Mitch is survived by his wife, Annette; his sons, Adam and his spouse, Lisa, and Tyler and his spouse, Jacki; his granddaughters, Abigail, Hannah, and Bianca; his close nephew Matt and his spouse, Michelle; his brothers, Mark, Gary and his spouse, Diane, Todd and his spouse, Don, and Paul; and his sisters, Linda and her spouse, Gary, Cathy, Bonnie, and Janice and her spouse, Ross; and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alan and Annette; his stepmother, Arlene; his brother, Mike; and his sister, Susan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Weirs Community Parkhouse, 25 Lucerne Avenue, Laconia, NH 03246. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance. Light refreshments will be served.
