William Fredrickson, 87, of Tiverton, RI, died Tuesday, September 26th at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. Born in Fall River he was the husband of Doris (Whiston) Fredrickson and the son of the late William and Clara (Mosher) Fredrickson.
He was a B.M.C. Durfee graduate, class of 1937. Bill was a carpenter, builder and cabinet maker.
He resided in Tiverton for 57 years and was a member of Old Stone First Baptist Church.
Besides his wife of 66 years he leaves 5 daughters: Jane K. Furnas and her longtime companion Tony of Enfield, CT, Elisabeth L. Meader and her husband Bob of Hanover, MA, Eileen R. Pestana and her husband Roger of Tiverton, Ruth C. Costa and her husband Alan of Fall River and Margaret C. Connolly and her husband Sean of Westport; 12 grandchildren: Melanie Brule, Melissa Keane, Robert B. Meader, Glenn Meader, Rebecca Meader, Amy Boner, T/Sgt. Roger W. Pestana, USAF, Natasha Banoub, Victoria Dias, Richard Connolly, Sean Connolly, Jr. and Ben Connolly; 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a little daughter, Nancy E. Fredrickson and a brother, Herbert W. Fredrickson.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Old Stone First Baptist Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 5 - 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Pleasant View cemetery, Tiverton.
