Gloria F. (Favuzza) Cimino, a long time Medford resident, passed away on Monday, October 5th at the North End Rehab, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Baldassare and Matilda (Mistretta) Favuzza.
Gloria earned her Master’s degree in education at UMass Lowell. She enjoyed a long career as a teacher for Arlington Public Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her late husband, Joseph. Together, they traveled, ate at many restaurants and attended concerts and other performing arts. She was also an avid reader.
Gloria is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Cimino. She was the devoted sister to the late Sarah Favuzza. She is survived by many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford on Tuesday, October 13th, from 10-11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated at 11 AM. Services will conclude with a burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
