BUXTON- Dennis Edward Ward was born in Groton, Massachusetts, on August 24, 1964, to Raymond and Patricia (Thibodeau) Ward. The family's move in 1970 to Laconia, New Hampshire, began the first chapter of his remarkable life, one which would make him well-known pretty much anywhere he went.
Growing up in New Hampshire had many challenges, and he moved permanently to Maine after achieving sobriety. Dennis became increasingly skilled at auto body work and honed his trade by taking on restoration of collector vehicles. At Concord Coach he was known for making damaged buses look good again and the tinkering he did at home became more focused. One of his personal projects, a 1970's Mercedes 2002, went to auction at Barrett Jackson in Florida. This was one of his lifetime goals and he achieved it!
Dennis found his perfect position at Saint's Auto Sales, where the quality of his work was greatly appreciated and much in demand. Ultimately this was his final place of work; his health started to decline and he was able to reduce his hours while dealing with cancer, two strokes, and a host of other ailments. He said goodbye to his boss for the last time when he left for lunch the day before he died. Late afternoon the next day he died while napping, trying to shake off whatever was ailing him.
He is predeceased by his father, mother, and Danny Ward, his 18-year old nephew. He is survived by his sister Anne, his brother David, nephew Anthony, and longtime companion Brenda Trepanier.
