John R. “Jack” Toland
John R. “Jack” Toland, 71, of Tewksbury, formerly of South Boston, died peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Dianne E. (Bergeron) Toland.
Born on February 21, 1955, in South Boston, Jack was the son of the late Edward Toland and the late Leona (Eno) Toland. Jack worked in technical support in the internet technology industry.
Jack was a devoted husband and loving family man. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to family vacations. He loved camping and fishing and had a passion for music from the 60s and 70s. He was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins and enjoyed his collection and interest in model trains, meeting his friends for lunch. He loved having the Toland family reunion every summer, doing the grilling and playing DJ. He was also a regular customer at TJ Callahan's in Tewksbury.
In addition to his loving wife, Dianne, he is survived by his children, Erin Toland and Lukas (Nicole) Toland, of Tewksbury. He was the brother of Teddy Toland of Florida, Jeannie Colvin of South Boston, Brian Toland of Holbrook, Kevin Toland of South Boston, Jay Toland of Sturbridge, and Michael Toland of Weymouth. He was the son in law of the late Helen Bergeron and the brother in law of the late Joanne and James Blanchette. He is also survived by his in-laws, Sue and Jim Hyde, and was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury MA 01876, followed by burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
