BUXTON- Richard “Rick” Allen Crosby Jr., age 62, passed away on October 4, 2026, at his home unexpectedly. He was born in Rochester, NH on January 30, 1964 to Elaine M Gallagher and Richard A Crosby Sr.
After graduating Bonny Eagle High School in 1982, Rick went on to work at Shaw’s Distribution Center as a forklift driver for over 40 years before retiring.
Rick enjoyed fishing any body of water from the Saco River to Sebago Lake to off the shores of Maine. Some of his favorite trips were to Lake Ontario for king salmon and trips to Moosehead Lake. He was a fishing charter captain for many years and had a great love for lobstering.
Rick also cherished hunting, snowmobiling, Friday night poker games and relaxing at home with his beloved family. He fondly remembered the days growing up and hanging out with dear friends around this great area.
He is predeceased by his wife Jill Hackett-Crosby, with whom he shared almost 20 wonderful years of marriage. Together they enjoyed gardening, lobstering, and watching Hallmark movies.
He is survived by his loving mother Elaine M Gallagher-Rodriguez and step-father Jorge Rodriguez of Texas; father Richard A Crosby Sr. and step-mother Marylin Crosby of Westbrook; children Richard of Buxton, Cheyenne of Buxton, Brianna of Hollis; sister Kathy Bodlovick of Windham; step-brother John Cole of New Hampshire, and step-sister Laurel Cole-Sheehan of Connecticut; Grandchildren Landon, Miriam, Valentina, and Savior; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 24th, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00PM at the American Legion in Westbrook- 300 Conant St. Westbrook, ME 04092.
