Earl E. Beck, 87, of Anderson passed away on September 29, 2026, at Community Hospital Anderson following an extended illness.

He was born on February 19, 1939, in Iuka, Illinois to the late William and Minnie (Borgwardt) Beck. He graduated from Anderson High School. He had worked at Brown Shoe Company, Barber Coleman, Barber Manufacturing, and Lynch Corp. before starting at Delco Remy in production. He worked at Delco Remy for 32 years and retired in 1996. He was an auto mechanic for years and worked at JCPenney’s Auto Center.

He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. He was known as the “Candyman” at church. He was a member of UAW 662. He enjoyed listening to country music, had a giving heart and helping the homeless, traveling, camping, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his four children, Kelly (David Stapleton) Marshall, Tim (Sandy) Beck, Bruce Beck, and Scott (Kelly) Beck; a daughter-in-law, Maria Beck; a sister, Lena Powless; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Beck on March 31, 2009; a daughter, Judith Ann Beck; a son, Steven Beck; four brothers and three sisters; a son-in-law, Howard Marshall and a daughter-in-law, Carol Beck.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Hervey Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Nelson-Richland Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Liberty Grove Baptist Church or The Christian Center.
