Hansine Isabel (Olson) Greek, 89, of Camarillo, California, passed away on September 28, 2026 in Thousand Oaks, California. Hansine was born in Minnesota to Ingvald and Ruth Olson. She graduated from Oklee High School. She went on to major in Library Science at Ventura College, in California. She loved reading and shared that love with students at Los Nogales Elementary School, in Camarillo California, where she was the school librarian for 24 years. Her and her husband, Gerald Greek, were long time members of the Independent Order of Foresters that supported many local charities. And above all else, Hansine loved family and she shared that love with those around her every day.
Hansine is survived by her children: Mary Gail Greek of Ojai, Rodney Greek of Encinitas, Cheryl Vendt of Litchfield Park, AZ, and Janet Harter of Star, ID; siblings: George Olson of Oklee, MN, Clifford Olson of Billings, MT, Norman Olson of Fargo, ND, Ivy Hahn of Fosston, MN, Amy Olson of Lenoir, NC, and Sylvia Munter of Fosston, MN; grandchildren: Chas and Kyle Cundiff, Ryan and Alicia Greek, Briana Hernandez, Luis and Nicki Garcia; great grandchildren: Danika Cundiff, Destiny and Aaliyah Hernandez, Rowen Mulcahy, and Luella, Brighton and Cicely Greek. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Greek; parents, Ingvald and Ruth Olson; son, Steven Greek, and brothers, Alfred, Erling and Marlan Olson.
