Obituary

Richard M. Repucci passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday,
September 26th at the Beth Israel Hospital. He was 71. Born and raised in Medford, he was the
son of the late Anthony H. and Elaine D. (Mucci) Repucci.

Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and great friend to many. After
graduating Medford High School, he earned his degree at the Wentworth Institute of
Technology in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed a successful career in the industry but,
after many years, he felt a calling to become a teacher. He then embarked on a second career
as a Vocational High School teacher of Drafting, Robotics and Engineering. Throughout his
years at Minuteman Tech and Nashoba Valley Technical High Schools, Rick helped shape the
minds and form the character of hundreds of students who found success and fulfilment
professionally and in their personal lives.

Rick was an incredible athlete throughout his entire life. An outstanding hockey and soccer
player, as well as a runner. Although he was a fan of all sports, soccer was his passion. He
played and coached at all levels over the years and was particularly proud of his long-time
membership with the Atomic Soccer Club of Medford.

Rick cherished time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed time with Celia and the
girls at their cabin in Franklin, Maine. Rick had a great talent for fixing anything that was
broken. From cars to appliances to things around the house, he got it done. At home in
Medford, and later in North Andover, he and Celia loved to host holidays and entertain
company. Rick’s sense of humor and silly moments made everyone feel at home. A man of
deep and abiding faith, and endless hope, Rick loved to share his Catholic faith with others.
His guileless and easygoing manner brought people closer to God and welcomed them to
reconnect with the Church.

The beloved husband of Celia M. (Jango) Repucci, Rick was a devoted father to Elaina Holm
and her husband Benjamin, and Julia Rooney and her husband Christopher. He was a loving
and proud Papa to Leo Joseph and Vera Maria Rooney. Rick was the dear brother of Anthony
Repucci and his wife Mary Fiske, Elaine Spencer and her husband Michael, and the late Lynda
Colangeli and her late husband Enrico. He was a dear brother-in-law to Rita Samuelson and
her husband Paul, Theresa Villanueva and her husband Frank, and Eileen Hart and her
husband Joseph. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306
Main St., Medford on Sunday, October 4th from 2 – 6 PM and again on Monday morning at 9
