Janice E. Eatmon-Bull, 65, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus, surrounded by her beloved children.
Janice was born on July 19, 1961, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Flora (Eatmon) Fort-Miller and Israel Pruitt. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Flora, and her brother, Charles Fort.
Janice leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love through her four children, Monique Bull, Janay Bull, Dominique Bull, and Kenneth Bull, all of Worcester; her brother, David Fort of Worcester; her sister in-law Beth Kabonga from Worcester, and her eight cherished grandchildren, Jada Norfleet, Javian Norfleet, Taron Troy, Kenneth Bull Jr., Kennae Bull, Saniya Bull, Kelani Bull, and Dominique Bull Jr.
To know Janice was to know a woman who loved deeply and gave of herself generously. She was a mother at heart long before she became a mother herself. As a young woman, she helped care for and nurture her younger brothers, and that same instinct to protect, comfort, and care for others became one of the defining qualities of her life.
Janice was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School and attended Salter College. Her love for children eventually led her to become a foster parent through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where she opened her heart and her home to countless children. She also devoted herself to helping others navigate the foster-parenting process. Her willingness to care for children, families, and people in need reflected the compassion she carried throughout her life.
Janice was a member of Mount Olive United Pentecostal Church in Worcester, Massachusetts. She possessed a beautiful creative spirit and found happiness in sewing, crocheting, crafting, cooking, music, and the Arts. As a child, she enjoyed participating in theater at school and writing poetry. Creativity was not simply something she enjoyed - it was one of the ways she expressed her love.
For her children, some of their most precious memories were created through the things Janice did simply because she wanted them to feel loved. She sewed costumes for their events, took them to movie theaters and drive-ins, hosted Christmas Eve parties, and made homemade school projects with love and care. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories that her children would carry with them for the rest of their lives.
She created a home where family mattered, where creativity was encouraged, where traditions were made, where laughter could be found, and where her children knew, in countless ways, that their mother loved them.
Janice gave her family more than memories—she gave them pieces of herself that will continue through generations. Her creativity, her humor, her strength, her nurturing spirit, and most importantly, her capacity to love will live on through her children and grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. There will never be another mother quite like Janice, and the space she leaves behind can never truly be filled. But her family will carry her forward in the traditions she created, the lessons she taught, the creativity she shared, the people she cared for, and in every memory made possible because of her. Her life was a gift and her love was her legacy. Although she is no longer here to make new memories with us, the memories she gave us will never leave us.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, at 9:30 AM at the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel, located at 33 Ward Street, Worcester, Massachusetts.
