Mrs. Prenell H. Warren, 80, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by the family who loved her deeply. After a courageous battle with cancer, she left this world with grace, strength, and the same quiet dignity she carried throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Warren; her parents, JessieMae Burnett and Joe Jackson Jr.; her sisters, Barbara Burnett and Cheryl Burnett Anderson; her brother, Seth Collins; and her grandson, Tracy Howard.
Prenell is survived by her devoted children, Valerie Howard and Paul Howard and his wife, Joanne; her sisters, Deborah Burnett and WillaMae Burnett of Boston, Massachusetts, Lula Mae Daughtry, and Marilyn Vaughan of Midville, Georgia; her brother, Al Hughes of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong best friends.
Prenell’s legacy is one of love, independence, elegance, and joy. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen and valued, and her presence brought comfort and light wherever she went. Her memory will continue to guide her family, reminding them to live with kindness, courage, and gratitude.
Services will be held on October 5, 2026, at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA from 11:00-1:00p.m..
