
John C. Hill, age 94, passed away at the Winchester Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (Gauvreau) Hill, who passed away on May 6, 2020.
Born in Cambridge on August 24, 1932, he was the son of the late John C. Hill and the late Susan (Parrot) Hill. He was predeceased by his sisters Edie and Betty.
In 1953, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War Era. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal for his active-duty service.
Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked as a union carpenter until his retirement in 1994.
Charlie grew up in Elkins, NH. He resided in Somerville, Mashpee, and Tewksbury until moving to Winchester. He loved boating, fishing, and old Cape Cod.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Branson and her husband Randy of Londonderry, NH, Susan Natale and her husband Al of Medford, and Kathleen Burke of Mashpee; six grandchildren, Matthew (Katherine) Branson, Alex (Jess), Lauren (Hjálmar), and Michael Natale, Meghan (Chris) and Briana (Adam) Burke; and eight great grandchildren, Josie and Lily Branson, Lóa Hjálmarsdóttir and Nói Hinriksson, Jamison and Alexandra DeMello, and Charlie and Carter Cox.
Calling hour will be Friday, September 25th, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by a prayer service to be held in the funeral home and interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the M.S.P.C.A.-Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
