MEREDITH ---- June Marie (DiCenzo) Payne, 91, who lived many joyful years raising her family in Duxbury, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Forestview Manor Assisted Living in Meredith, NH.
She was born December 11, 1934 in Cambridge, MA and graduated from the Thorndike School. She was a retired archivist at the John F Kennedy Presidential Library for more than 25 years.
June loved long walks along Duxbury Beach, playing tennis, skiing, antiquing, and traveling; her most memorable trips included skiing the Dolomites, walking the Great Wall of China; and geocashing adventures which brought her to incredible places throughout New England.
June was the beloved mother to sons Stephen R Payne of Plymouth, NH and Ronald R Payne of Boston, MA, grandmother to Natalie R Payne and Jayden A Payne of Plymouth, NH, both of whom she adored with great pride. She also leaves her brother Joseph Abrano and his wife Sue and nephew Anthony Abrano of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard O DiCenzo and parents Dominic DiCenzo, born in Italy, and Norma (Ambrose) DiCenzo.
