Kenneth “Wayne” W. Elden, 61, of Derry, NH, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 14, 1965, in Boston, MA, to Helen (Bishop) Ray and the late Kenneth Elden and grew up in Reading MA.
Wayne most recently worked in maintenance at the Derry Auto Auction House as anything cars and motorcycles were a passion of his, including watching NASCAR. Prior to that, he was an expert car salesman for many years. He also enjoyed gardening carpentry, masonry, landscaping and lawn care. He took immense pride in every job he had and was a pillar of strength, integrity, dignity, and loyalty in all aspects of his life.
Wayne was enthusiastic about wildlife conservationism, especially in regards to monkeys. He loved watching things grow, spending precious time outdoors camping, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling. His natural athleticism showed in the way he excelled in hockey and baseball, and he continued to find joy in all things sports later in life.
He was recently pursuing his lifelong goal of learning how to play the guitar. He had always been a big fan of Rock & Roll, going to concerts and seeing all the coolest bands. He was very proud of his collection of vintage DVD’s and loved to spend time watching old movies.
Above all else, Wayne was a fighter and a survivor. His “never give up” attitude shined through all of the struggles he faced. He always wanted the best for everyone, especially his beloved mother Helen.
In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by his sister, Pamela Elden, and his aunt, Priscilla Cox, all of Derry, NH, and many extended family members and friends.
He is now joining his beloved wife Joyce in heaven.
After cremation, there are no services. Burial will be held by the family at a later date in Warren Village Cemetery, Pinehill Rd., Warren, NH.
