On Thursday September 10, Sarah Spiezio passed away early in the morning in her sleep at the age of 36. She is survived by her mother and father, Elaine and John Spiezio, her twin sister Samantha Spiezio Fitzpatrick, husband Kory Fitzpatrick and their 3 sons, her partner David Higbee, her aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sarah was born weighing only a pound and a half, and persevered despite all odds. She was a fun and happy child who had received her black belt in Karate. Her family and loved ones knew her to grow into a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul.
She graduated from Lesley University with a degree in Art Therapy, she received her Masters Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and was currently studying to take her certification test to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She changed the lives of all the children she worked with for the better.
Sarah recently had her artwork being recognized, winning 1st place at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA. Some of Sarah’s work is now hanging in the Indigo House Gallery in Duxbury, MA. She was also a Signature Fragrance Designer, designing perfumes for friends, and selling her perfumes at a local shop and online. Sarah loved to surf, as well as walking on different trails and could find beauty in just one petal of a flower. Her favorite spot to be was walking Sandy Neck Beach on Cape Cod, looking for yet another rock to add to her collection. Many hours were spent listening to her rock tumbler smoothing out some of her rocks, others she would open looking for crystals.
Her family will carry her memory and continue her legacy in their hearts. A memorial for Sarah will be held at a later date.
