Roger Horace Fowler, 73, of Brookfield passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jerry Riggs officiating. Mr. Fowler will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Steffen Pearman, Adam Williams, Greg Fowler, Ladon Fowler, Mark Dill, Mike Gray, Mark Draughon and Brian Gray will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Young, Robert Young, Trent Gray, Nick Young, Tyler Sumner, Josh Walker, and Corey Fowler.
Mr. Fowler was born January 14, 1953, in Tift County to Edith M. Scarborough Fowler and Charlie “Horace” Fowler.
Mr. Fowler is survived by his loving wife, Donna Marie Fowler, of Brookfield; his son, Matthew Fowler of Tifton; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Steffen Pearman of Tifton; and his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Adam Williams of Tifton.
He was a beloved Pa to his grandchildren, Abigail, Isabelle, Hudson, Addison, Mason, Collin, Ellie, and Rhett.
He is also survived by his siblings, Ladon Fowler of Tifton, Lethia and Geoff Rockwell of Tifton, Rachel and Lee Walker of Tifton, and Greg and Brenda Fowler of Hahira, as well as other extended family members and loved ones.
Mr. Fowler worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation as an Assistant District Construction Engineer for 32 years, where he retired in 2005. He later worked for Statewide Engineering as a Design and Hydrology Engineer until the present time.
Mr. Fowler was an active member of Tifton Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 38 years. His faith was an important part of. His life, and he loved the Lord deeply.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of 52 years and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and going to the beach with his family.
