Ann Donnelly, born July 27, 1948, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, following a sudden, brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones during her final days.
Ann’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to Christine Guarino and her husband, Michael, and Rob Donnelly. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Katie (Guarino) Morales and her husband, David; Meghan Guarino and her fiancé, Cameron Tarini; and Daniel Guarino and his significant other, Machenzie Whiteman. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Hayden Morales and Sophie Guarino, who brought immense joy to her life.
Annie shared a loving and devoted partnership with Reggie Rouse. Together, they enjoyed many wonderful trips and created countless cherished memories. They shared a love of travel and the special adventures that came with it.
For many years, Ann called 43 Maple Ave in Medford home, where she created a lifetime of memories with her family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed living in Pompano Beach, Florida- GVA, where she met many wonderful friends who became an important part of her life and with whom she enjoyed her retirement.
Ann loved the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed a good glass of Chardonnay, the Ninety Nine’s and a chat with her favorite bartender. She loved trips to the beach and being near the ocean. She found happiness in the warmth of the sun, the sound of the waves, and the peacefulness of the water.
To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Annie was lovingly known as “Mam.” Being a grandmother and great-grandmother brought her tremendous pride and happiness, and she treasured every moment with them.
She was the beloved sister of the late John Cassidy and the late Paul Cassidy and his surviving wife, Jane. She is also survived by her brother Steven Cassidy and his wife, Mary. She was a loving aunt to Amy, Paul, and Mary Cassidy and cherished the relationships she shared with her extended family.
Ann was generous to everyone she met. She was a kind, gentle soul who cared deeply for her family and friends. She had a giving heart and a warm demeanor that made people feel welcome and loved. She never hesitated to help someone or make someone feel special.
In honor of Mam, please perform an act of kindness. Whether it is helping a neighbor, buying someone a cup of coffee, donating to a cause, or simply offering a kind word to someone who needs it, let your gesture reflect the generosity and warmth that Mam shared with everyone she met. She was loved and will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends may visit with Ann Marie’s family on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again on Thursday, September 24th, at 11 AM, followed by a Mass in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 12 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
