Albert “Buck” Tomberlin, age 81, of Emory, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026. A family-led memorial service will be held at a later date.
Albert Tomberlin was born on September 7, 1945, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Julian and Laura (Milner) Tomberlin. He was married to the late Linda Tomberlin. Buck worked as a truck driver for Walmart. In his free time, he enjoyed caring for his yard and took great pride in keeping it beautiful. His dedication to his yard was recognized when he was honored with the “Yard of the Year” award in Rains County.
Albert is survived by sons, Greg Tomberlin and wife Kathy, Delvin Tomberlin and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Danielle, Justin, Rashelle, Delvin Tomberlin II, Dylan Tomberlin; great-grandchildren, Aislynn, Ryan K. Tomberlin, Jameson, Isla, Abbie, Charlee; great-great-grandchild, Grayson; sister, Frances Bailey and husband Owen; brother, Roy Tomberlin and wife Joy; and sister-in-law, Jean Tomberlin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
