Theodore Earl Rumzie, 77, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at his home.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Rumzie was born May 20, 1949, in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, to the late James Rumzie and Betty Sutton Kelly. Ted was truly the jack of all trades. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He was always happiest when he had something to work on. He worked several years at Meadville Forge in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where his hardworking nature and many skills served him well.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Ginger Rumzie, a son Mike Rumzie and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his significant other, Debra Bergholtz of Fitzgerald, children: Melissa Troupe of Douglas, Mary Jo (Rob) Chaplin of Three Rivers, Michigan, Jenny (Chaz) Walden of Three Rivers, Angela (Mike) Skeen of Centreville, Michigan and Jack Rumzie of Three Rivers; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as other family members, friends and his fur babies, Peaches & Yogi, who will cherish his memory.
