Ashley, of Carver, September 24th, Dorothy C. (Parkhurst) 84. Beloved wife of Leon Ashley of Carver. Mother of Gary Grant of S. Portland, ME, Linda Zahner of Walpole, step-mother of David W. Ashley of Carver and Joyce D. Ashley of Plymouth. She was the sister of Bruce Parkhurst of CA, Wesley Parkhurst of Alabama and the late Douglas, Ralph, Harold, Clarence, Russell, Mildred Madison, Barbara Bennett, Patience Sitco, Carolyn Ferrara and Lillian Branch. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 28th at 11 o’clock at the First Baptist Church, Westerly Road, Plymouth. Burial at the Shepardville Cemetery in Plainville. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-5 pm at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St., N. Plymouth. Mrs. Ashley was born in Woonsocket, RI on November 17, 1921 to the late Harold G. Parkhurst and Lillian (Lee) Parkhurst. She attended Rhode Island schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed arts & crafts and knitting

She died at the Jordan Hospital on Sept. 24, 2006.
