Jacqueline (Jackie) M. McCarthy, 83, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Daughter of the late John and Loraine Allen, born in Santa Cruz, California, wife of the late Paul J. McCarthy. Jackie was a lifelong resident of Tewksbury and a graduate of Brighton High School. Jackie dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest purpose and happiness in being a homemaker and a mother.
To know Jackie was to know how much her family meant to her. She treasured the time they spent together and memories they created over the years. She was always willing to share her wisdom and lessons she learned through a lifetime of experiences. She loved cooking and preparing the home for family gatherings, and the simple moments that became treasured memories’ – like pumpkin picking with Kate, pool parties with her children and grandchildren and trips to Lord & Taylor with Danny.
Jackie leaves behind her life partner, Dan Silva and her children, Paul F. McCarthy, Lisa DeGregory and her husband Rick, Rob McCarthy and his wife, Megan. She was also the beloved mother of the late John McCarthy, whose memory will forever remain in our hearts. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Krysta, John, Michael, Nicole, Brooke and Katelyn McCarthy and great-granddaughter Kianna Figueroa. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mom you gave us a lifetime of love, and you have gone home to the Lord. May you rest peacefully in his presence, free from pain and sorrow, surrounded by the eternal light of His love. Our mom’s hands may be still, but the love you placed in our hearts will never fade.
