Mary (Harrington) Burke of West Roxbury passed away on September 5, 2026.
Born in Somerville on August 28, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Walsh) Harrington. Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Harrington and Donald Harrington, and Joseph’s wife, Maura Monahan. She is survived by her longtime companion, John Clements, as well as her nieces and nephews.
An active member of the Boston community, Mary proudly campaigned for both Joe Moakley and Tom Menino. Although she was fond of bacon and peanut butter sandwiches, Mary was also known for being a good cook. She especially cherished the time she spent in Ireland, the homeland of her parents.
Mary always brought a smile to those she touched. She will be missed.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church 1689 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132 on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 10AM followed a burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
