
Iolanda DiRico, age 101, of Woburn formerly of Everett, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Care One Nursing Facility of Wilmington. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmine DiRico. Born in Poggiofiorito, Italy she was the daughter of the late Massimino and Palmina (Trollo) DiBenedetto.
Iolanda immigrated to the United States in 1971 first settling in Everett where she resided until 2007 before making Woburn her home. Iolanda worked for a number of years as a housekeeper in the Health Care Industry prior to her retirement. Iolanda's family was the center of her life. She loved to cook and bake traditional Italian dishes and treats, hosting family and friends for the holidays. She also enjoyed traveling and gardening. Iolanda was happiest when surrounded by her family and those she loved.
Iolanda is survived by her children, Maria Domenica D'Alleva and her husband Nicolo of Italy, Eva Mastrocola and her husband Nicolo of New York City, John DiRico and his wife Maria of Woburn. She was the loving Nonna of Luigi D'Alleva and his wife Clara, Domenico Mastrocola and his wife Tracy, Tanya DiGioia and her husband Leo, John Angelo DiRico and his wife Naomi, Stephen DiRico and his wife Claudia, Cassandra DiRico and her partner Christian Pizziferri. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Nicolo and Francesca D'Alleva, Sara and Gianluca DiGioia, Sophie, Lincoln, and Aria DiRico, Nicholas Mastrocola, Savannah Ferreira and Mila Pizziferri.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, September 11th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a prayer service beginning at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
