HOLLIS- Paul Andrew Martin, age 83, passed away on September 3, 2026 at Seal Rock Healthcare after a period of declining health. He was born on August 26, 1943 in Paterson, NJ, a son of the late Andre and Mildred (Soares) Martin.
After attending school, he worked for Foster's Construction in Connecticut. He then went to work driving truck for Carl Subler, R.C. Moore and Shaw's Supermarkets.
Paul enjoyed travelling and watching big ships coming and going in Portland (Maine) harbor, spending time with family and with his special friend Claire Johnson.
Paul is survived by his children Paul Martin, Jr. of Florida, David Martin and his wife Robin of Buxton, and Susannah and her husband Donald Stack also of Buxton. Four grandchildren Crystal and her husband Edwin Berry (Dayton), Kevin and his wife Tory (York), and Ashley and Emily Martin (Buxton). Two Great Grandchildren Rachel and Conrad Berry. His brother Richard Martin and his wife Rhonda of Florida and sister Gail Larue and her husband Gary also of Florida along with several nieces and nephews.
At Paul's wish there will be no service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 390 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074. Many thanks are given for their support and comfort of Paul in his final weeks.
