Joan M. Williams (Williams) of Medford passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. She was 86 years old. Joan was the beloved wife of Gregory G. Williams, Born in Tunapuna, Trinidad, she was the cherished daughter of the late Clement and Verna (Goddard) Williams.
Prior to her retirement, Joan worked as a human resources representative for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Clement Church and a proud foster mother for ABCD. She was awarded the community hero award for volunteering as an ABCD foster grandparent at the St. Theresa School of the Child of Jesus in Somerville.
Joan was the devoted mother of Gaston Williams and his wife Christine of Woburn and Desiree Thevenot and her husband Gary of Saugus. She was the adored grandmother of Jaden, Taye and Ace Williams and Malik and Brianna McLaren and Joslynn Thevenot. Joan was the dear sister of the late Harold, Selwin, Kenneth and Hilda Williams. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, September 9th, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St, Medford, MA, from 4-8PM and then again on Thursday, September 10th, at 9AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, 64 Warner Street, Medford, MA, at 10AM.
Services will conclude with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
