Obituary

Lawrence R. Krueger a retired Boston School teacher and 35 year Needham resident died on Sunday, September 24th at the Briarwood Healthcare in Needham. He was 85 years old. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of the late Theresa (Stern) and Henry Krueger. Mr. Krueger was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a commercial pilot for TWA and Pan Am for several years before becoming a Boston Public School teacher. He retired in 1987. The beloved husband for 29 years of Catherine F. (Kelliher), he was the brother of Richard Krueger of Medfield, Ruth Davis of Madison WI and the late Henry, Andrew, Frank and Madeline. Also survived many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Thursday September 28 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment with Military Honors at Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in Lawrence’s name may be made to the Briarwood Residence Fund c/o Briarwood Healthcare, 150 Lincoln Street, Needham MA 02492.
