Mary A. Bedard (Davidson) of Somerville passed away on, Thursday, August 27, 2026. She was 79 years old. Mary was the cherished daughter of the late Edwin F. and Marion E. (Heise) Davidson.
Prior to her retirement, Mary worked at Burlington Coat Factory as a store clerk. Mary loved to read, especially romance novels, listening to music and watching movies.
Mary was the devoted mother of Roger Bedard Jr. and his wife Adelaide of Malden and Raymond Bedard of Somerville. She was the adored grandmother of Derek Bedard and his wife Taylor and Robert, Sean, Nicholas and Shane Bedard and the loving great-grandmother to Jackson and Lena Bedard. Mary was the dear sister to Edwin F. Davidson Jr. and George H. Davidson, both of Somerville, Jeanne M. Niemi and her late husband Karl of Medford, Eleanor T. Covino and her husband Robert of Arlington, Karen L. Davidson of Acton, Charles T. Davidson of Somerville, Elizabeth J. Waters and her late husband Paul of Richland, PA, Barbara F. Pelitier and her life partner Eddie Spitzer of North Reading, Peter A. Davidson of Somerville and the late Stephen Davidson. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visiting hour will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, MA on Friday, September 11, from 10:00-11:00AM, followed by a graveside service in Oak Grove Cemetery 230 Playstead Rd, Medford, MA, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are invited.
