Nettie Lou Middlebrooks, 64, of Rochelle, Georgia, died, Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Crisp Regional Medical Center, in Cordele, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11AM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle, Georgia with the Rev. Jacob Martin officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
Mrs. Middlebrooks was born November 22, 1961, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, to the late Norris Elwood & Nettie Inez Cain Barwick. She graduated from Wilcox County High School and went to work for Wilcox Garment in the cutting room, where she worked for over 17 years. She later went on to work for Doster Peanut Warehouse in Rochelle for over 15 years. Mrs. Middlebrooks enjoyed watching game shows and spending time with her family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Mrs. Middlebrooks was a member of Kramer Baptist Church in Abbeville, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Anthony “Tony” Middlebrooks, Sr., son, Anthony Middlebrooks (Traci); a daughter, Tonya Harrell (JC) of Kingsland; grandchildren: Connor Middlebrooks, Ellie Belle Middlebrooks, Mallory Harrell and Jessie Harrell; a brother, Wendell Barwick (Susan); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Lee Wilson; a brother-in-law, Paul Wilson; sister-in-law, Linda Middlebrooks; mother-in-law & step father-in-law, Leah & Benny Forsyth; father-in-law, Charles Middlebrooks.
