Richard “Rick” Tripp passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was the devoted husband of Arleen Tripp, with whom he shared 30 wonderful years of marriage.
Rick was a talented and hands-on man who could always be found working on something he loved. He had a true passion for woodworking, enjoyed playing guitar, and took great pride in restoring and working on old cars. He was also an avid collector of tools, often finding as much joy in the tools themselves as he did in the projects they helped him complete. Rick was always saying,
“I have a tool for that.”
He was a man who loved to stay busy, create things with his own hands, and figure out how to make things work. His creativity, curiosity, and ability to fix just about anything were a big part of who he was.
Rick will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his many interests, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew him. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Arleen; his daughter, Jessica Tripp; his two stepchildren, Ryan and Carly van Weezel; his three step-grandchildren, Anthony, Ava, and Grace; his brother, Steven; and his mother, Dorothy Tripp. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jonathan and his father, Richard Tripp.
Rick leaves behind many memories that will be cherished by his family and loved ones, and he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
