Ellen E. (Jones) Ransow, age 68, passed away on August 27, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 16, 1957 in Waltham, MA, daughter of the late Francis V. Jones and Elizabeth (Brown) Jones. Ellen worked as a cook and Manager for the Norwood Junior High School for many years before she retired. She is survived by her husband Frederick Ransow of Chicopee; one son, Daniel Ransow and his wife Ashley of Norwood; two daughters, Sarah Deangelis and her husband Robert of Rochester, NH and Jessica Woolley and her husband Paul of Norwood; 12 beloved grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She is predeceased by her daughter Rebecca Murillo and her brother Edward Jones. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
