Phyllis A. (Capone) Cavan of Medfield formerly of Sherborn, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026 following a prolonged illness. Phyllis is survived by her son, James and his wife, Julia of Dover; her daughter, Jennifer of Medfield; her sister, Marilyn Capone of Medfield; and her cherished grandchildren, Margaret and Hunter. Phyllis also leaves behind dear friends made from her days at Needham High School, Emmanuel College, life in Sherborn and Medfield and most recently, her devoted care givers.
Phyllis was happiest with a crowd in her kitchen, and around her table, and welcomed many friends and family there over the years.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Parish, Medfield on Wednesday, September 2, at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment following the Mass in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sherborn.
