Sylvia Sue Rigsby Green, 80, of Omega passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Andy Ring officiating. Mrs. Green will be laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ashley Roig officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
David Green, Sledge Green, Ken Marchant, Willis Marchant, Ricky Joyner and Tony Schultz will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 5, 1946, in Worth County, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late Ernest Jackson Rigsby and Marietia Jennings Rigsby. Before retiring, she was the bookkeeper at Worth County High School.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Gene Green of Omega; one son, David Green of Omega; one brother, Jackie Rigsby of Sylvester; two sisters, Cornelia Towson of Ocilla and Barbra Ann Schultz of Albany; two grandchildren, Hunter Green and Sledge Green; one great-grandson, Sawyer Green; her great-nieces and great-nephew, who loved her as their grandmother, Ava, Ajai and Ariana Solanki; and her best friend, Martha Rutherford.
