Jimmy E. Davis, 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, August 23, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Josh Bowles officiating. Eulogies will be delivered by Brooke Williams and Brittany Hammond. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
Mr. Davis was born August 20, 1950, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Julius Brooks & Susie Odum Davis. He worked as a factory worker until he started his own business in 1979, Davis and Son Painting, where he and his son Robby have worked until the present. He loved to work with flowers and plants, and he took much pride in his yard. He was a beloved Papa and spent his spare time playing with his grands and great-grandchildren. Mr. Davis was a member of the Ocilla Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Smith Davis; a daughter, Pamela Snipes and a son, Robby (Paige) Davis all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Brittany (Taylor) Hammond, Lee Ford, Brooke (Jacob) Williams, and Ryan (Alyssa) Davis; great grandchildren: Rhodes Hammond, Liam Hammond, Lynlee Ford, Addison Ford, Delly Williams, Dolly Williams, Tate Davis and Meeks Davis; a sister, Frances Roberts and a brother, Johnny Davis both of Fitzgerald; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie Davis and Curtis Davis and a sister, Betty Spivey.
