Obituary

Natalie M. (Chiccarelli) Procopio, age 96, a resident of Tewksbury for 30 years, formerly of Arlington, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

She was the beloved wife of Frank L. Procopio, who passed away on October 30, 2020.

Born in Boston on July 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Biggi Chiccarelli and the late Maria A. (Alessandro) Chiccarelli.

Natalie was proudly raised in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood and graduated from Girls High School.

Following their wedding in 1959, she dedicated herself to her family, raising their two daughters and creating a loving home with her husband.

Natalie enjoyed cooking and hosting gatherings for family and friends, where competitive card games were often part of the fun. She loved teaching her grandchildren how to play, though they often joked that she rarely, if ever, let them win.

She was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Center and a former member of the Arlington Sons of Italy. She embraced an active social life and enjoyed countless memorable trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun with friends.

Of all the roles Natalie held throughout her life, being a grandmother brought her the greatest joy. She adored her grandchildren, took immense pride in each of them, and cherished every moment they spent together. She loved watching them grow, remained deeply invested in their lives, and celebrated their accomplishments with pride.

She is survived by her two daughters, Maria L. Cutelis and her late husband Jamey, of Tewksbury and Donna M. Ferris and her husband Scott, of Auburn: her grandchildren, Kayla Salah and her husband Tom, Kelsey Kelich and her husband Pete, Frankie McLaughlin and his wife Alexis, and Timothy, Lauren, and Jessica Ferris: her niece, Caroline Chiccarelli. She was the sister of the late Fortunato S. Chiccarelli and the late Joseph B. Chiccarelli and his late wife Gloria.

Calling hour will be Friday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
