Diana L. Fleury, age 72, of Tewksbury Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 9th, 2026. Her beloved dogs Zoey and Winry by her side while she slept.
Diana was born on November 24th, 1953, to Joseph and Virginia Lemire in Westbrook, ME. She was one of four children of Joseph and Virginia. Her beloved sister/best friend Judy Landers, her late brother Joseph Lemire, and Marjorie Fotino.
Diana was always a people person and brought great joy to everyone she met. She would always describe herself as a daddy's girl and a tomboy due to her preference to help her father Joseph work in his garage and learning how to use his tools. The Lemire family left Maine for Tewksbury, MA in the summer of 1957 and would call Tewksbury their home for much of their lives.
As a teenager, Diana volunteered as a camp counselor for various summer camps in Maine. She loved visiting her grandmother's farm and had a love for gardening. Diana graduated from Tewksbury memorial high school in 1972. After high school, Diana began working as an equipment assembler for Analog Devices while sharing an apartment with her sister Judy.
In December of 1985 Diana and her then husband Dennis Fleury welcomed their first son Joseph Michael Fleury into the world. Three Years later in February 1989 they welcomed their second son Charles Joseph Fleury.
In 1990 Diana and her family, alongside her sister Judy and her family, moved to the small town of Liberal, Kansas where they lived for 3 years. While in Kansas, Diana would go to school to become a Nurses Aid and appeared in the Liberal Wizard of OZ celebration parade as Dorothy with her sons Joseph and Charles as the Scarecrow and Toto.
In 1993 Diana and her children returned to New England and purchased a home in Nashua, NH where she raised her boys while beginning her career at the corporate offices of Demoulas Market Basket in the accounting department. Diana was a very active and loving parent to her children, supporting them through school, multiple sports, and music. Attending years of Josephs hockey games and Charles Football games.
Diana was not only an incredible mother, but was also a beloved aunt, staying close and active with her sister Judy’s three children, Crystal DeMayo, Cyndle Komarovski, and Tyler Strawhecker. All three children closely grew up alongside Diana’s sons as if they were all siblings.
Diana was so devoted to her family despite working multiple jobs, making her children's games and talent shows, as well as attending many of her nieces and nephews' plays, shows, and dance recitals. A trend that would continue with Crystal and her husband Brian DeMayo's two children, Aubrey and Evan.
In 1999 Diana moved for the final time, back to Tewksbury, four houses from her childhood home, to help provide care for her mother and father.
In 2015 Diana officially welcomed her new daughter-in-law and wife of her oldest son Joseph, Alaina Fleury, into her family with open arms. Diana and her son Charles worked to create a comfortable home and adopted two wonderful dogs, Zoey and Winry. She loved her dogs as she loved her entire family, immensely. Talking and even singing to them in her soft, sweet voice.
Her devotion to her family was matched only by her compassion for animals, and Diana worked alongside her close friend Ann Marie to rescue and find homes for stray Cats. She and Ann enjoyed deep sea fishing and horseback riding.
Diana took great pride in her cooking and loved attending holidays with her entire family, with Brian DeMayo playfully demanding she always brings her famous meat pie to thanksgiving.
On January 11, 2023, Diana, for the first time, held her grandchild Hannah in her arms. The picture of Hannah in her arms remains her favorite and holds places on her nightstand and her phone wallpaper, to this day.
Diana is survived by her two sons, Joseph and Charles, her daughter-in-law Alaina, and her granddaughter Hannah.
Diana Fleury was one of the most compassionate, loving, and patient people to ever walk this earth, and through her personality, was able to instill those virtues to everyone close to her. To say she will be sorely missed would be an understatement. Her light extended, now brightens the skies of heaven, while continuing to illuminate her family's path forward.
Following her Cremation, there will be a private service for Diana for family and friends. There then will be a celebration of life to bring appreciation for the life she lived.
